Tetrate is searching for experienced Senior Solutions Engineers (SE), to act as the technical “arm” of the sales cycle within our ever expanding Federal customer account portfolio As a Solutions Engineer (SE), you will be the technical lead within assigned accounts, leveraging your abilities to provide technical guidance, leadership, and serving as a customer advocate. You will collaborate with the Customer Engineering (CE), and other members of the product sales team to solve the customers’ complex business challenges using our portfolio of products and services. You will ensure that the proposed solution (P.O.C) has been technically validated and that there are no technical barriers that would prevent the client from adopting our solution. The SE proactviely collaborates with the Account Executive team to develop business cases and value justifications to support world-class value propositions to our customers. As a trusted advisor to your accounts you’ll continuously create and nurture relationships that will give you the chance to learn about your customers, their goals, and their challenges in order for Tetrate to better serve them moving forward
Responsibilities:
- Conduct discovery meetings to collect, analyze, clarify, and document business requirements during the sales cycle to support the implementation team and produce a detailed solution proposal
- Work hands-on with prospects and customers to deliver standard, customized and/or strategic solution demonstrations, white boarding, presentations, and best practices that showcase functional capabilities, competitive advantages, and business benefits of Tetrate’s products and solutions throughout the sales cycle, from demo to proof of concept to design and implementation
- Understand and communicate the implications of product roadmaps on technology investments
- Identify new customer opportunities or demands in their named accounts, as well as participate in demand generating events and activities
- Respond to customer inquiries and requests
Qualifications:
- Computer Science or Engineering majors, with an infinity to sell
- Previous experience as a Solutions Engineer preferably supporting clients in the public sector
- Excellent ability to identify and articulate value to customers through written and verbal communication
- A strong understanding of the lead qualification and sales cycle appropriate to service mesh and K8s, Kubernetes
- Good understanding of DevOps, systems administration, APM, micro-service design
- Familiarity with full-stack development and understanding of database schema (SQL, NoSQL) for rapid prototyping
- Experience prospecting and prioritizing potential clients
- Self-motivated, detail-attentive, and have a desire for continuous learning
- Critical thinker who defaults to a client-centric approach
