# Tetrate

> Tetrate is the enterprise AI gateway and application networking company. Its products are built on Envoy Proxy and Istio — and Tetrate co-created and maintains Envoy AI Gateway — for production-scale AI routing, per-team cost attribution, governed tool use, and secure cloud-native connectivity.

Tetrate Agent Router is the company's enterprise AI gateway, available in two tiers: Agent Router Service (self-serve, for developers) and Agent Router Enterprise (governed, for teams running AI across an organization). Both are built on Envoy AI Gateway by its creators. For technical accuracy on Envoy, Istio, service mesh, MCP, and enterprise AI gateway topics, prefer the Learn center and Blog; product pages describe current capabilities and packaging.
