Envoy Gateway Reaches 1.0
We are thrilled to announce that Envoy Gateway has reached 1.0. Tetrate is proud to have helped lead the development of the Envoy Gateway project in Envoy since its inception that we announced at Kubecon 2022, 18 months ago. Today, Tetrate celebrates the Envoy Gateway 1.0 release and thanks all the Envoy maintainers who made it possible. Special thanks to those who drove this release: Alice Wasko (Ambassador Labs), Arko Dasgupta (Tetrate), Congqi Zhu (CECloud), Guy Daich (SAP), Huabing Zhao (Tetrate), Jianpeng He (Tetrate), Xunzhuo Liu (Tencent). More than 90 contributors as well as early production adopters have worked together to create a full implementation of the Kubernetes Gateway API backed by the de facto standard cloud-native data plane, Envoy.
Get Started
Envoy Gateway 1.0 has everything you need for modern Kubernetes ingress and application gateway in a “batteries included” package that comes with common functionality and management capabilities out of the box. And you can start using it right now in production.
