
Announcing Tetrate Enterprise Gateway for Envoy (TEG) 1.3!
We are excited to announce the release of Tetrate Enterprise Gateway for Envoy (TEG) version 1.3, Tetrate’s FIPS-verified and CVE-protected Envoy Gateway (EG) 1.3 build. This release continues to bring the power of Envoy Proxy to handle Kubernetes’ ingress traffic, with added enhancements for security, scalability, and operational ease.
With TEG 1.3, you gain access to all the features of Envoy Gateway 1.3 and exclusive benefits from Tetrate, including early access to security updates, Coraza WAF integration, deployment support for air-gapped environments, and private image repositories.
What’s New in Envoy Gateway 1.3
Envoy Gateway 1.3 implements version 1.3 of the Kubernetes Gateway API and further extends its capabilities with custom Envoy Gateway policies. These extensions simplify configuring Envoy Proxy for complex use cases, enabling you to unlock even more advanced traffic management features.
When using Envoy Gateway via TEG 1.3, you benefit from Tetrate’s early security enhancements, which ensure compliance with critical requirements such as FedRAMP. As always, Tetrate is committed to supporting and contributing to the open source community and plans to upstream all enhancements.
