What Is Tetrate Service Express (TSE)?
Tetrate Service Express (TSE) is the only native way for Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) users to move to a secure and highly available, Istio-powered service mesh on Amazon Web Services. TSE simplifies Istio on Amazon EKS, making it faster to deploy Istio in production so you can:
- Rapidly deploy an enterprise-grade service mesh on EKS
- Enforce Zero Trust policies reliably between EKS services
- Rapidly deploy apps across EKS clusters and AWS regions
- Improve app dev experience for microservices on AWS
With Tetrate Service Express, users can achieve high availability and protection from failure in any individual region through the native use of AWS Route 53 for simplified deployment of applications in multiple AWS regions. TSE makes it easy to achieve security, cross-cluster resilience and get deep insight into application performance. Thanks to a set of critical pre-integrated AWS services, users will be running a service mesh in just two steps and a few minutes. TSE delivers pre-built service resilience and security, including cross-cluster and cross-region failover, with mTLS enabled by default without additional configuration. TSE makes it easy to experiment with and operate in production with GitOps, metrics, events, logs and traces, all with service and support provided by Tetrate.
