Tetrate is in Barcelona on March 14-15 for two great reasons: Wasm I/O and the wazero party 2.0 sponsored by Lifull Connect! Read more for all the details…
Tetrate @ Wasm I/O 2024
Wasm I/O is a wonderful event for all things WebAssembly, due to carefully curated content from a variety of international speakers. Moreover, Wasm I/O is special to Tetrate as it was where we launched version 1.0 of our zero-dependency WebAssembly runtime: wazero! You can watch last year’s video by Edoardo Vacchi on the Wasm I/O channel.
This year, Tetrate is back again and among the sponsors of Wasm I/O. Don’t miss out on joining us in Barcelona 14-15 March.
Edoardo’s new talk “The Wasm-Scape Navigator: Sorting Through the Mosaic of Specs” is a reflection on the experience developing and maintaining wazero, the open-source pure-Go WebAssembly runtime sponsored by Tetrate.! What are the challenges of following the ever-changing Wasm ecosystem? How do we find a balance between backwards compatibility and adding new features?
Join Wasm I/O to connect with like-minded people and learn more about what’s going on with Wasm in and out of the browser; look for Edo in the hallways and have a chat with him about Wasm, Go and Tetrate.
Wazero Party 2.0
Regardless, on Friday March 15, after the conference wraps up, stick around a little more and join the wazero team, other Tetrands and more wazero users and contributors for our super-cool wazero party 2.0 hosted and sponsored by Lifull Connect offices, a few steps away from the conference venue! Last year’s event was packed, so we are excited to bring it back: thank Lifull Connect for sponsoring our second party.!
At the wazero party 2.0 we will celebrate our upcoming 2.0 release. Like last year, we’ll pack the time with fresh use case stories from wazero contributors and users. You’ll also learn what this 2.0 release is all about, and why we are so excited to bring it to you.
This release features a large overhaul of our internals to finally deliver the long-awaited optimizing compiler for amd64 and arm64! The development of the optimizing compiler was a substantial effort that spanned several months. We are incredibly proud and excited to be finally able to share this with you.!
This is version 2.0 because it is our second generation backend. Since we made no user-facing API changes, you can simply upgrade into this without worry!.
Join the wazero party 2.0 at the super-nice Lifull Connect offices, just a few steps away from the main conference venue; learn more about wazero 2.0 through the fun lightning talk sessions from our contributors and users, and have a drink and snack with all of us!
